Challenge
A European banking group set out to build a dedicated payments platform for B2C and B2B marketplaces, combining its banking heritage and regulatory expertise into a new, scalable product proposition. The platform needed to cover KYC and merchant onboarding, payment collection, payout and account management, AML and sanctions compliance, and Open Banking payment initiation.
The build required mobilising a multi-disciplinary programme across product, technology, compliance, banking partnerships and go-to-market, while aligning regulatory obligations, partner integrations and a credible launch plan under tight delivery timelines.
Approach
Provided programme leadership, governance, planning and executive reporting across the build and launch phases, coordinating product, engineering, compliance, partner integration and commercial workstreams, tracking delivery milestones, risks and dependencies, and maintaining senior stakeholder confidence through to go-to-market.
Outcome
A market-ready marketplace payments platform launched with the operating foundations, partner integrations and compliance controls in place to onboard merchants and process payments at scale.
